Congratulations to Park City High School Baseball team for producing one of their most successful season to date. With an overall of 22-5, the PC Miners made a final playoff push before eventually falling in Friday's neutral playoff game against Bear River by a score of 6-5 in the 3A UHSAA State Baseball Championships. Despite the loss, the Miners finished the season with an impressive state rank at 9th. Head Coach, Lou Green, along with his assistant coaches, Matt Strader, Bob Mackey, Mike Stokes, Carl Hermansen, and Colin Watkins, did a remarkable job coaching these young athletes and supporting them to reach their fullest potential. ; Athletic Republic Park City’s Sports Performance Coach, Brandon Talbot, has been working with the team all season as their strength and conditioning coach. PCHS Baseball had a number of AR athletes that were strong contributors, including Chandler Barkdel, Scott Stokes, among others. ;

Below, is a recap of their season through the viewpoint of Brandon Talbot. ;

What are your thoughts about the 2015 season overall?

“I felt like it went great. ; We beat some very good teams and won some big tournaments. It was a heart breaking loss to Bear River Bears."

What were the most significant athletic improvements that you witnessed during your time working with PCHS Baseball? ;

“Most players averaged .2-.4 improvements on their 60 yard times. Some improved more than average due to lack of training prior and other athletes less due to having trained before. Chandler improved .1 and I believe Jake and Mav improved.5! Everybody put on good weight. Most of the freshmen and sophomores put on 10-15lbs and everybody's strength increased dramatically."

Final thoughts: ;

"I've never helped a better group of young men. It was an honor to be in the dugout with them."
