Upon the completion of their fall practice schedule, the Park City High School Boy Lacrosse team concluded 2015 with an unprecedented ten-week strength and conditioning program, led by Athletic Republic’s performance sports training staff and held at the PCHS weight room. The team, who is looking to continue their winning ways in 2016 after a 21-2 campaign last year, started the new year off in similar fashion by embarking on a month long team training program with AR. 

With the spring season just around the corner, the PCHS Boys Lacrosse team wanted to put themselves in a position to hit the ground running as soon as practices began February 1st. The team arranged a 4 week | 8 session Acceleration Program, in which the boys will work on their speed, strength, and stability…while also incorporating lacrosse-specific protocols and movements that will translate to success on the field as well.  

The proper approach to pre-season speed and strength training is absolutely paramount to an athlete's success, no matter how old or how advanced the athlete. In addition to the position-specific lacrosse program that each PCHS athlete will be engaging in to increase their power, agility, and flat out speed,  their dedication to this type of pre-season strength and conditioning program will also play a substantial role in helping to reduce the risk of both short- and long-term injury.
