Athletic Republic delivers on-field success through our unique combination of science-based performance training protocols, proprietary equipment and technology, and the education and experience of our highly qualified trainers.

The training tools and programs are designed to take the athlete beyond ground-based training limitations, teaching the brain to send stronger, more precise signals to the muscles.

Meet The Owner

Athletic Republic Park City is thrilled to announce the new Ownership of Barry and Shae Sims. Barry and Shae Sims have spent the last 20+ years living in the Bay Area supporting the exciting and successful NFL Career of Barry Sims. Barry Sims, a local Park City High School Football, Basketball, and Track Athlete, and his wife and family have moved back to Park City to raise their family.

Barry Sims, a local Park City High School alumni, and his wife Shae Sims are excited to be back and a part of the community while building an athletic sports performance program that fosters athletes of all ages and levels to attain their athletic goals and create confidence within themselves. While playing for the Oakland Raiders Barry received the “Commitment to Excellence” award and that same caliber of commitment, discipline and dedication to our athletes at Athletic Republic of Park City will be instilled for their “Commitment to Excellence” of their sport. Barry Sims spent 12 years in the NFL, 9 years with Oakland Raiders, 3 with San Francisco 49ers, won an AFC Championship and went to the Super Bowl! While Barry Sims was out supporting the 3rd Annual Park City Passing League’s fundraiser, he stated “I am excited to be back in my hometown and watch these amazing athletes reach their full potential, hopefully we get another Park City football jersey retired”. At Athletic Republic Park City, we are excited for the full support of Barry and Shae Sims and are looking forward to developing the next generation of athletes!

Barry Sims and his Acceleration story is one for the story books, while in his Senior year, with the University of Utah, while at the Hula Bowl Barry sustained at the time a near career ending injury, his stock for any draft potential plummeted and to make matters even worse it was two years of physical therapy. While he rehabbed his injury and was getting back to playing form, he got a call to come and do this “speed work training”, Barry spent 6 months doing the “speed work training” and about the time he was finishing up with his training he was able to sign with NFL Europe for the Scotland Claymores and after having a breakout season with them; the Raiders saw his work and signed him to their roster. Barry said the “speed work” training for an offensive lineman is what helped him break back into the NFL even after sustaining a near career ending injury.

Our Highly-Qualified Trainers

Our trainers are passionate professionals who bring together extensive knowledge, specialized backgrounds, and hands-on experience to deliver extraordinary training experiences for both competitive athletes and fitness-minded adults.

Their expertise spans from advanced sports performance protocols to personalized fitness coaching, ensuring every client receives the guidance they need to achieve their specific goals.

Our training team’s credentials are impressive across the board. Many have competed or coached at high levels in various sports, while others bring extensive experience in adult fitness and conditioning.

Most hold professional certifications (CSCS, ACSM, NASM) and/or degrees in exercise science, biomechanics, or athletic training. Additionally, our sports performance trainers complete Athletic Republic’s three comprehensive certification levels in biomechanics, exercise physiology, exercise science, and program adaptation.
